Insight in to the History of the House of Allah (Kaaba).

Kaaba is the first house for humanity to worship and that is why it’s an extraordinary place for Muslims. Originally it was located by Adam (A.S) and later Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) and his son Ismail (A.S) took the responsibility of rebuilding it. At the time of construction prayers of Ibrahim (A.S) were answered by Allah and his descendants remain its custodians for many years.  A time came when people started worshipping their idols in Kaaba. But Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) forbid them strictly and destroys all the idols and told them to worship only one God who doesn’t live in a specific place but everywhere.  It was also built several times because of the floods or man created disasters. Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) also took part in its reconstruction after it was damaged because of flood. Responsibility of its protection is only taken by Allah. Until now the door of Kaaba was open publically for people to pray but because of the increasing number of pilgrims it is now opened only for VIP guests.

 One interesting fact about Kaaba (Bait-ul-Mamur)

There is a similar House of Allah built on 7th heaven right above the Kaaba located on earth. Angels pray and worship there. It is mentioned in Sahee Bukhari about it when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came back after the journey of Miraaj He told that Hazrat Gabriel said that 70,000 angels pray there daily and after coming out they never come back.

The Black Stone

On the east corner of Kaaba, a black stone is located also named as Al-Hajar al-Aswad. It is also stated that this stone was given by Gabriel who bought it from heaven. There was clash between people of Makkah about putting it on its right place because everyone wanted to do the honor, then the problem was solved by Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) who asked them to together put it on its place.
